I know that hostels isn’t perfect but you can meet nice people and in season it will cost you from 15 pounds (24$) and off the season 10 pounds (16$) in London, compare to hotels it’s huge saving.

2. Look for hotel out of the city centre

This way you can cut price of your hotel even on 40-50% and that’s mean lots of dollas or euros or rupies or whatever in your pocket.

3. Choose guest house or B&B

Sometimes you can find really cheap deal and stayed with local people, eat nice breakfast and enjoy your time.

4. Rent apartament orr cottage if you staying longer than few days

To find some cottage you can try cottages4you and there is many apartments rental websites like airbnb etc. so it’s easy to find. It’s good choice if you traveling in big group or you wanna stay longer than few days. That way you can safe on self catering cooking your own food.

5. Go off season

I know the weather can be dreadful, but in january and february hotels have amazing goo prices and you can fell true rainy UK on your skin.

6.Home exchange

You can find thousands locations and people around in homeexchange.com, you can swap your home safely with other people for a small fee and travel cheap.

1. Train

Wanna travel a lot, cut your train expenses with British rail Pass. Its international exclusive, you won’t buy it in UK. Amazing savings compare to individual tickets. There is a MegaTrain as well where you can buy tickets from 1 pound with 50p booking, that’s like single ticket for London bus. Remember that very cheap tickets have to be booked early and to find this really cheap one you can’t be really flexible because Megatrain have limited schedule for cheap prices.

2. Bus

Here in UK we calling bus, as a coach, when we thinking about long distance, intercity. So here we have very cheap MegaBus, where you can buy cheap tickets even from 1 pound and we have National Express where you can find a lot of possibilities to save life coach cards when you get discount for purchase of your tickets. Under 26 and seniors have 33% off. There are great savings for families as well.

3. City Transport

Transport is expensive in London and other english cities so be careful choosing your options for tickets, you can buy daily  , weekly or single bus or combine with underground tickets. Prices vary a lot so think about your need. remember now  you can pay buy your card contactless, so you don’t have to have always oyster card. Good alternative is London city bikes network, you pay for 24 h for 2 pounds or week fo 10 pound and you can cycle for free for 30 minutes from dock station to another and there is plenty of them in zone 1 and 2 , amazing way for sightseeing 🙂
